In 1932, Lebanon joined, followed by Syria in 1937, and then Sudan and Cyprus in 1938.<\/p><p>The year 1951 saw the departure of Palestine, 1956 the accession of Jordan, 1965 the withdrawal of Syria and the accession of Bahrain.<br>After about thirty years of calm, Armenia joined in November 1996, Georgia in December 1997, Dubai in March 2002, and Palestine in May 2010.<\/p><p>Our district thus brings together 9 countries across 3 continents\u2014Europe, Asia, Africa\u2014with six spoken languages: English, Arabic, Armenian, French, Greek, and Georgian.
