Message from President Antoine Sacy
I became a Rotarian thanks to the diplomacy and perseverance of my sponsor, Fr. Toufic Aris, a good former student of the Jesuits. Later, I had to confront the late Halim Fayad, who thought that as President of the Sacy Foundation, I could not simultaneously serve Rotary. He therefore tested me by giving me difficult missions; and to his great surprise, I passed this test.
My 2025-2026 program will revolve around 3 themes:
1- Education; because without education there is no nation
2- Health, which is the continuation of the actions of my predecessors through Global Grants.
3- Environmental Protection by teaching families to sort their household waste, in coordination with the DIANE Foundation and other relevant NGOs.
Finally, since RCB is the oldest club in District 2452, it must no longer only have veterans and young Rotaractors among its members; it is imperative to recruit members between 40 and 50 years old so that it can maintain its role as a leading club in Lebanon.
