Message from President Antoine Sacy
I became a Rotarian thanks to the diplomacy and perseverance of my sponsor, PP Toufic Aris, a true former Jesuit student. Later, I had to face the late Halim Fayad, who believed that, as President of the Sacy Foundation, I would not be able to serve the Rotary at the same time. He therefore put me to the test by assigning me difficult missions; and to his great surprise, I successfully passed this trial.
My 2025–2026 program will revolve around three themes:
- Education, because without education there is no nation.
- Health, as a continuation of the work of my predecessors through Global Grants.
- Environmental Protection, by teaching families how to sort waste at home, in coordination with the DIANE Foundation and other relevant NGOs.
Finally, as the oldest club in District 2452, the RCB must no longer consist only of veteran members and young Rotaractors; it is essential to recruit members between the ages of 40 and 50 so that it can maintain its role as a leading club in Lebanon.
